Gothic Misunderstandings That No One Understands -- Chris || Post in the forum

Perhaps some of you may remember the days when you thought that no one really understood you. Perhaps a lot of you are at that point in your lives when you think that no one really understands you because of the way you think, the way you dress, or even the way you breathe. I believe this is what we called the "Misguided times of teenagers" or simply "Teenage years" for short. This is the point where people have messed up views of the world. You know, everything is "black" or "dreary" and there is no "God" or other being higher than humans.
Some people never grow out of this stage, thus they can be 22-years-old and still be sitting in the corner whining how the rest of the world doesn't give a shit about how they dress or the music they listen to. We commonly classify these people as "Gothic", and most people that we call "Gothic" do not like to be called "Gothic", but instead "different", and even then they don't like to be referred to as "different". After all, they just want to be someone else who just dresses a little, uh, differently, and has some, um, messed up views on life.
Normally, I like to laugh at people who like to sit in the corner and think that they cannot do anything in the world since they chose to be different, or that no one will understand them because they think that they have these "super powerful views on life" which no other normal human being will understand. This is no exception, when I want to laugh, I'll laugh. So right now I'm most likely laughing, by myself, with no one else around to make me laugh.
Luckily for me I was able to catch up with one of these beasts of difference while online. I decided to give her an interview to post here to entertain you, and mainly myself so I can laugh by myself.
 | | Allison, AKA "Sabrina", is in there, somewhere... possibly in the corner |
Chris: Hi Allison Allison: ugh... goddamnit! dont call me that name, its Sabrina, ok? Chris: Yea, sure, whatever you say. Allison: yea Chris: So, um... what are you doing right now? Busy? Allison: actually, i was just going to start writting a poem that i got worked up in my head Chris: What is this "poem" about? Allison: well, its about this grl whos different, and no one rly understands her, and they all think shes different because she dresses differently, and shes not rly different because she thinks like everyone else, but just dresses different. you know, people always judge a book by its cover, and start thinking its different before they even read it Chris: Wow, you said "different" 6 times there, that's a lot, don't you think? Allison: watch it! dont start wit me! Chris: Right Allison: so what do u want? Chris: I was wondering, why do you dress the way you do? Allison: wat do u mean? Chris: You know, differently Allison: no, i dont define "different" for me Chris: You know, not like what other people do Allison: wat are u talking about? i wear clothing like everyone else. i wear a shirt, and pants, and underware Chris: Yea, but not everyone has 20 pairs of pants that are black, and 8 shirts with the anarchy symbol on it Allison: but theyr still clothes Chris: I guess... Chris Ok, but WHY do you wear a shirt with the anarchy symbol on it? Allison: because i want to, and its my choice and it lets me express myself. the shirt reminds me that no one else thinsk like me and because of that my life doesnt feel organized because no one else thinsk like me Chris: Why do you think no one else thinks like you? Allison because... no one else does, they dont understand what goes on in this head its too complex Chris: So you'd rather sit there in the corner and whine like a little girl about how no one understands you? At that point she got mad at probably stormed off into her corner to start writting in her diary about how yet another person doesn't understand her and her "super high path" of thiking. You know the thoughts that sometime in the year 2376 the evil overlord will come back and take us all away to his dungeon and save us all from our burning hell, yet they still do not believe in God or other superior beings.
I should be expecting an email from "Allison" anytime now because she didn't want her real name used, and as well as she didn't want any part of the conversation reproduced and showed to anyone else.
